Another image of the barman and the bar. I think I'm starting to get the hang of lighting and compositing. All my previous attempts of compositing the character into a scene have made him stand out like a sore thumb, but this is the first image where he gels nicely.
After mulling over a revised storyboard for over a week I decided to try something a little different and draw an isometric projection of the bar layout. I definitly find this sort of this easier to do than storyboarding and it's giving me a bit of a push to get into some 3d modelling.
This is the animatic I pitched to be made into a short film. It was balls to the wall stuff putting it together, spending close to 18 hours straight on the last day painting the panels and then making it into the animatic. I only finished rendering the video file 20 minutes before I had to get the bus into college to pitch the idea.
It is a bit ropey in parts with some missing dialogue but it was enough to get chosen to be made into a film. As nuts as it was putting this together I'm pretty sure it's only peanuts compared to actually making the damn film. None the less, onward and upward.
